Today the nation received some extremely bad news. The numbers of coronavirus cases are rapidly increasing, as a result the NHS is under severe pressure and could soon reach breaking point. The only way to avoid this, and increasing numbers of deaths, is for the nation to enter a lockdown. Where possible, we must all stay at home and only venture out for essential reasons.
This means that I cannot give driving lessons until further notice as it is not possible to do this by ‘working from home’! However, every cloud has a silver lining so I will use some of the time to try and build a website.
Since going independent in March 2019 I have worked entirely from referrals and recommendations. My only online presence has been my entry in the DVSA Register of Approved Driving Instructors. There has been no website, no Facebook Business page, no Google Business entry, in fact not even any business cards. However, I decided a website would be a good idea so that people can actually find out more about me online.
So, today I will start looking into the best way to build it, and thinking about what content should be displayed on the website. Given I would prefer to do as much of the work myself as possible, I suspect it will be a steep learning curve, and be a project that takes some considerable time to complete!
